College of Fashion and Textiles

The College of Fashion and Textiles covers those subjects associated with fabric, fiber, clothing and home decorating. The College is divided into two departments.

Department of Fashion

This department covers those areas having to do with clothing, costume accessories (i.e. shoes, hats, gloves, etc.) and home decorating. Courses of study focusing on any kind of item worn on the body would fall under this department, as would courses of study involving home furnishings.

Department of Textile Arts

This department covers areas roughly corresponding to the Kingdom A&S categories of Textile Application and Dyeing, Spinning, and Weaving. Sample subjects that would fall in this department are lacemaking, dyeing, knitting, tablet weaving, spinning, embroidery, felting and beading.
