Whip Me, Beat Me...Make Me Wear BAD Elizabethan:

Level: Beginning costumer
Objective: In WMBM: The Unmentionables, we will explore the necessary underpinnings to create a successfully authentic Elizabethan Gown. We will study the history and construction of four major Elizabethan undergarments: The Corset, The Farthingale, the Bumroll, and the Shift. We will discuss period patterns, extant garments, the history of the garment, and the necessity of the garment in the context of creating an Elizabethan gown.
