Basic Tablet (Card) Weaving – TEX04A01

Course Description: This class teaches the students how to do basic 4F-4B tablet weaving, including reading a warping diagram and warping the tablets. It also includes a brief history of Tablet Weaving, a list of tablet weaving sources and their strengths and weaknesses, and information about choosing yarn/thread for tablet weaving.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this class, students should be able to:
Recognize pros and cons of various yarns used in tablet weaving.
Read and follow a tablet weaving warping diagram.
Weave a piece using 4F-4B method of tablet weaving.
