Viking Embroidery - TEX03A05

Level of Content: Beginner. Students become familiar basic embroidery techniques and how they were manipulated to make Viking Embroidered pieces
Estimated Length of Class: 1 hour, depending on amount of students, student participation, and modern world information.
Course Description: This class will familiarize the student's with motifs of the Vikings, colors and dyes used by the Vikings, how some Viking motifs can be used with Celtic Embroidery.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this class, students should be able to:
Identify common Viking motifs;
Identify common stitches used in Viking embroidery;
Recognize certain colors and dyes used in Viking embroidery.
