Ministering a List – WAR08A01

Level of Content: Beginner

Class time: 30 minutes to an hour depending on class attendance.

Course description: Students will listen to descriptions of two main styles of list construction, which are “Round Robin” and “Double/Single Elimination” while learning the specialized vocabulary used for list ministering.  Students will then participate in the running of two mock lists – one a “Round Robin” list and the other a “Double Elimination” list.  Resolution techniques (such as what to do if byes are punitive) and other information on hosting a list will be taught, including information about the duties of the Field Support personnel. 

Learning Objectives:  By the end of the class, students will -

1.  Recognize and understand the use of such terms as bye, single elimination, double elimination, round robin and other vocabulary necessary to run a list.

2.  Be able to run a list table for a small group of fighters

3.  Know the equipment needed to run the list and the duties of a list minister

4.  Know the duties of all field support and how they interact with the list minister.
