Casting using Pewter and Soapstone - PRA07A02

Class Description: Students will learn the basics of pewter casting using soapstone molds.

Class Length: 2 to 4 hours

Level of Content: Beginner

Learning Objectives: By the end of the class, students will know:

 How to identify Pewter

The tools needed for casting

The safety hazards of casting

Preparing pewter for pouring

Preparing soapstone for casting

Pouring

Problems and solutions

Finish production piece
